Ignite Theatre meet on Mondays during term time from 6pm until 8pm at Cryer Arts, Carshalton.

Membership and tuition at Ignite Theatre costs £20 per person per week. Sessions run during term time only. At Ignite Theatre we charge per half term. These are usually 6 week blocks so would therefore be £120 per half term (dates will be published in advance).

If you are new to Ignite Theatre, we offer a trial week with a one-off payment of £20 with no obligation. If you feel Ignite Theatre is not for you, you are not obligated for the rest of the term. However, if you wish to continue after the trial, the rest of the half-terms fees would be need to be paid prior to the next session.

First and foremost Ignite was created to give young people the opportunity to create new and dynamic theatre in a professional setting. Each week we will workshop ideas and theatrical techniques, working towards performances for the public to attend. We will explore scripts and texts as well as stimuli and practitioner ideas. As well as this, part of the sessions will be dedicated to preparing pupils for LAMDA Acting exams from Grade 3 and above. 

LAMDA Speech and performance exams are accredited by LAMDA and taught by subject specialists nationally. Ignite Theatre focus on Acting exams. More information can be found on our LAMDA page found in the menu.

As Ignite is a theatre company, we rely on attendance for the sake of the work we create and to maintain quality. Regular attendance is essential and each member must commit to the term dates. If a member is unwell or there are extenuating circumstances, parents / guardians must contact the company director to inform them that there will be an absence,

No. Ignite Theatre is a company that focuses on acting primarily. There will of course be voice and movement workshops but Ignite is not a performing arts school in the same sense as many others where pupils learn across three disciplines. This is what sets us apart and what we celebrate. We are an acting company for young people.
